The Chancellor of the Precious Cornerstone University, Ibadan, Bishop Francis Wale Oke has admonished children to be obedient to their parents in their bid to raise them for a guaranteed future.

Wale Oke, who is also the Presiding Bishop of The Sword of the Spirit Ministries, equally charged parents to be more involved in the pursuits of their children with a view to directing them on Godly path.

The renowned cleric gave the admonition in Ibadan while hosting students and staff of the University to a dinner for the completion of first semester, 2018/2019 academic session.

He noted that if the students and their parents were symbiotic in their relationships, the increasing decadence in the society would be reduced. He lamented that societal values had been debased.

While assuring students of PCU of the readiness on the part of the University to ensure the institution is reckoned with globally, he enjoined students, parents, government and other relevant stakeholders to always work towards ensuring lifting the educational standards of the nation.

Speaking earlier on, the University Vice Chancellor, Prof. J.K Oloke thanked God for the end of the first semester examinations and urged the students to always be good ambassadors of the institution anywhere they find themselves.

Oloke further assured that the University welfare program would be more pragmatic, promising. He reaffirmed that before the commencement of the next semester, other necessary value-adding programmes would be put in place to make learning more conducive for the students.
