Precious Cornerstone University, Ibadan(PCU) witnessed a momentous occasion on Saturday 22 March 2025, as the Second Governing Council were inaugurated, ushering in a fresh chapter in the institution’s history.
The inauguration ceremony, which took place at the Senate Chamber, was attended by the New council headed by the Pro Chancellor/Chairman Prof Dapo Asaju and faculty members.

Members of the new Governing council comprising distinguished individuals with diverse expertise were sworn in by the University’s Chancellor, Bishop Francis Wale Oke. The new members promised to uphold the university’s values and advance its mission and vision.

In his inaugural address, the Chairman of the new Governing Council, Prof Dapo Asaju, emphasized the importance of teamwork, innovation, and community engagement in driving the university’s growth and development.

“We are committed to building on the solid foundations laid by our predecessors and taking Precious Cornerstone University to new heights,” he said. “We will work collaboratively with faculty, students, and staff to foster a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and social responsibility.”
The Vice-Chancellor of PCU, Prof. Timothy Adejumo, welcomed members of the Council and expressed his confidence in their ability to steer the university to a brighter future ead the university towards a brighter future.

“The inauguration of the new Governing Council marks a significant milestone in our university’s journey,” he said. “We look forward to working closely with them to achieve our strategic goals and make PCU a beacon of academic excellence and innovation.”
As the new Governing Council begins its tenure, the PCU community is filled with optimism and anticipation for the exciting developments that lie ahead.
