Precious Cornerstone University received officials of Christ Against Drug Abuse Ministry (CADAM), a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in 1991 to basically take care of drug addicts and managed by the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) on Thursday 25th November, 2021. The ministry has a cordial working relationship with both local and international agencies involved in similar endeavours, such as the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), National Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Yaba, National Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Aro-Abeokuta, other community-based NGOs and the United Nations Office for Drug and Crime Control (UNODC).

Precious Cornerstone University (PCU), a faith based tertiary institution, aims to partner with CADAM so as to be able to have a safe landing for our students caught in the act of drug abuse, as drug abuse in itself has become pandemic in the society. CADAM has attended to some highly placed Nigerians, such as pilots, lawyers, doctors, pastors, undergraduates, nurses and dropouts, who were on the verge of giving up in life and today, they have been resuscitated and they are doing well in society. Apart from counseling, treatment, rehabilitation services, and advocacy that CADAM renders, it engages the services of other facilitators from outside to teach beneficiaries on different vocations. Some addicts are willing to submit themselves while others come as a result of evangelism when they see evidence of a renewed person in people that have graduated from CADAM. We are sure that many lives that had been compromised as a result of addiction will be redeemed, stabilized and given a new hope for a better and meaningful future as a result of this collaboration. We at PCU intend to help students to improve skills and functioning for daily living that have been lost or impaired as a result of social ills which resulted to addiction. This collaboration with CADAM will ensure the release to the society graduates of positive vision, in partnership with the Most High GOD for a complete emancipation and beautification of the immediate environment, Nigeria, Africa and the world at large. We are hopeful that many lives that had been compromised as a result of drug addiction will be rescued, stabilized and given a new hope for a better and meaningful future.
