Qualifications and Requirements
Senior Lecturer
Candidates must possess a good Honours degree with at least Second Class (Lower Division) plus a Master Degree in addition to a PhD Degree from recognized universities with at least (6) years post Ph. D teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution in area of specialization. Candidates must have evidence of not less than nine (9) scholarly publications in both local and international reputable learned journals.
Lecturer I
Candidates must possess a good Honours degree with at least Second Class (Lower Division) plus a Master Degree, in addition to a PhD Degree from recognized universities with at least three (3) years post PhD teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution. He must also have an evidence of not less than six (6) journal articles in both local and international reputable journals.
Lecturer II
Candidates must possess the same academic qualification as (b) above a Master’s Degree with three (3) years of teaching, research and administrative experience in a tertiary institution. He must also have evidence of not less than three (3) publications in both local and international reputable journals.
Principal Librarian
Candidates must possess a good honours degree with at least Second Class (Lower Division) plus MLS/MLIS in Library Science or Library and Information Science from recognized universities with at least nine (9) years post-qualification experience in an academic/research Library. Computer literacy is mandatory, with evidence of a minimum of 9 scholarly publications in reputable indexed journals.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
Conditions of service are similar to those obtainable in similar institutions of higher learning.
